I am writing this travel blog on a Small hillstation near dharampur , District Solan it’s by The Name of Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh, established by britisher in 1842. its around 287 kilometer from new Delhi. if you are looking for a different kind of vacation in the himalayas then its A perfect weekend destination for you. Since it is a condonment, certain areas are restricted to visitors , although the pristine beauty , nature views and cleanliness are something to admire . Visit Kasauli in the himalayas to experience its unique cultural and adventures vibe.
Best Time to Visit :
The best time to visit the town is from April to June and then again from sept to November when the climate is pleasant and is not so cold. Also if you want to see the snowfall then winters is an ideal season to visit this place and if you are lucky you might see that occasional snowfall.
Best Places to Visit in Kasauli :
Gilbert Trail
A must Visit place in Kasauli is Gilbert trail .The 1.5 km kachha walkway from Lovers’ Lane, along the narrow winding paths of rocky cliffs, is very slippery. It is, thus, advised to be extra cautious while strolling along this trail. Explore nature and spend some cosy time with your loved one’s. you can visit this trail from 6am to 5 pm . the place is so beautiful that you will fall in love with it and would not want to leave it as it is so serene and cutt-off from the noise of city life. Wonderful sight of the valley will greet you on the gilbert trail trees engulfed by fog, numerous birds chirping along with ample of blissful peace. A must visit for photography enthusiasts.
Toy Train Ride – A Unique Experience
Not to miss Toy Train Ride in Kasauli you can board the train from Dharampur up to Barog station and return. It is a one hour ride through the pine forest and long tunnels. It can be a lifetime experience and this beautiful ride will be a dream come true.

Heritage Market and Mall Road:
Walk through this Heritage Market of Kasauli where you will find tons of things to shop. You will also find Tibetan shops selling small handicrafts, woolens, hand-woven shawls, stoles, and scarves and do not miss lip smacking food, especially Bun samosa with chutney and choley will not be completed without chai which is like very famous there. Kasauli is also famous for its large assortment of locally produced and reasonably priced fruit wines. Some of the popular savors are apple wine, plum wine, sherry wine, peach wine, and black grape wine.

Christ Church
Christ Church is the oldest church of Himachal Pradesh, Located on Mall Road, this is one of the most visited tourist places in Kasauli. Constructed by the British in 1853, the church is surrounded by the beautiful pine and deodar trees. The Church Choir at the christ church is one of the finest choir groups in himachal Pradesh.

Timber Trail – The Splendid View
This place is the perfect place for the ones who are looking for serenity within the hustle bustle of the town.
The view from the heights of the Timber Trail is breathtaking in every aspect. This place is popular for its ropeway rides, which are a thrilling experience. Sliding through the mountain ways while surrounded by the incredible natural beauty is a refreshing experience. The deep gorges right below the ropeway will give you an incredible adrenaline rush without even moving your feet! Enjoy the Timber Trail cable car which is a 1.8 km ropeway. Also, do not forget to carry your camera, as the views here are just stunning.

Money Point
One of the Highest peak in Kasauli where a Small hilltop temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, featuring numerous monkeys & sweeping views.. It is believed that Lord Hanuman’s foot had touched this very spot while he was carrying the Sanjeevani herb over it. And you can even see that impression of his foot on the highest point of the slope. The View from the point is outstanding Chandigarh can be seen from that point.
Sunset Point
The Sunset Point is located on the Upper Mall Road which is hardly a minute’s walk from the bus stand of Kasauli . Sunset point is something I will not recommend you to miss. The view is marvellous. It’s just not the sunset but the surrounding nature that makes it beautiful. Plus the mile walk leading to that point.
Simply not to be missed. Actually this point is understated by locals. It’s better than most other places of interest in Kasauli.
If u love nature and beauty, just go for it. Be there atleast 15 minutes before and take good cameras to capture those beautiful moments .
Hangout Bar
Hangout the rooftop bar well decorated with cane and smart looking furniture, neon illuminated bar counter, and hammock – that serves a wide range of refreshing beverages and sumptuous food. If you like to enjoy the live music then you can visit them on weekends and enjoy the Live performance. The Ambience of the Bar is Just Amazing. It overlooks the lofty hills, foggy valleys, and thick pine forests. Visiting this bar is one of the best Kasauli things to do for the party animals.

I myself travelled by my own car from Delhi to Kasauli and the route as well as the experience was just outstanding. I am sharing the route with you if you are travelling by your own vehicle from delhi/NCR you can go ahead with this .
